Break Up Depression
Break up depression is not a joke. Splitting up with someone can be a very emotional and painful experience. The first thing to do is to not be too hard on yourself. It is natural that you will feel some intense feelings. Breaking up with someone is a loss regardless of the reasons for the loss. When you break up you grieve the loss of an intimate relationship. The stages of grief often apply. Shock, denial, anger and finally sadness. If you are feeling extreme sadness know that you are not alone. Many of us have suffered through horribly painful break ups and lived to talk about it. Know this fact: this too shall pass. Although it may sound like a cheesy cliche time really does heal all. Tomorrow you may feel a bit better and the day after a bit better or maybe not. It took me almost two years to get over a boyfriend once and it was a painful teary experience but I survived.
